Ghanaian artiste Article Wan, real name Bright Homenyah, has called for significant investment in the Ghanaian music industry to close the gap with Nigeria.

As reported by graphic.com.gh, Article Wan added his voice to the discussion about the growth and success of the music industry as compared to that of Nigeria.

According to him, Ghana has abundant musical talent but has very little support.

He said that, with proper funding, these talents can be developed to compete on a global scale.

"We have incredible talent in Ghana, but the lack of investment is stifling many emerging artistes. I hope things improve so that our talents can flourish," he stated.

While many netizens and stakeholders in the Ghanaian music industry have blamed artistes for their carefree nature when it comes to their craft, others, including the artistes, have called for an end to unnecessary comparisons between artistes in Ghana and Nigeria.
