Lamisi celebrates her 'beauty with a purpose'

Lamisi Mbillah took time to share the spotlight with her Miss World support team over the weekend at the Labadi Beach Hotel. Miss Mbillah annexed this year’s ‘Miss Beauty with a purpose’ crown at the world pageant in Poland a few weeks ago after she had almost failed to make it to Warsaw.

The party guests got to see the full-length guinea worm and goiter documentary that caught the world’s attention and Lamisi was at her eloquent best the whole time. Veteran broadcaster, Mike Eghan is still very much an emcee after all these years and the party couldn’t have been more exciting without him. He brought on virtually everybody that played a part in Lamisi’ success for a chat and continuously made jokes about everything including Samini’s sagging pants when he performed.

The CEO of Creative Storm, the media company that packaged Lamisi’s project Kwesi Owusu told JIVE they were just happy things had turned out the way they did and were grateful for the support they got from UNICEF and the Carter Foundation.

Kwasi Pee also performed at the party but his ‘Kojo Antwi’ spin off tunes didn’t do much to get the crowd as ecstatic as Samini did when he took the mic.

Miss Mbillah is to continue her work with the Guinea worm eradication and national salt iodisation programme through out the country until her reign ends next year.
