Leave Ghana if you have the means, the system here is not favourable - Ras Kuuku to the youth

Ghanaian Reggae musician Ras Kuuku has reacted to the increasing trend of Ghanaian youth relocating abroad in search of better opportunities.

In his statement, Kuuku acknowledged that the challenging economic conditions in Ghana force young people to seek greener pastures elsewhere.

He pointed out that, unlike Ghana, there are available opportunities and efficient systems abroad, despite the unfavourable weather they might encounter.

“They have to. If they have the means, they have to go and work hard and bring money. The thing is, the system here is not working out for us but the weather is working out for us. Meanwhile, the system there is working for them but the weather there is not working for them.

“So, because the system here is not okay, we don't care about the weather. We go and face the weather and then make mama happy,” he said.

Ras Kuuku stated that if these efficient systems from overseas were implemented in Ghana, the youth would not need to leave their homeland.

“If the system over there was to be here, like, everything will be okay, nobody will be travelling from here to there,” he said.
