Leave Sarkodie alone – Kojo Antwi

GHAMRO Chairman, Kojo Antwi says Ghanaians should let Sarkodie have some peace of mind to concentrate on his career.

He was commenting on the Sark-Ace Hood issue which many have accused the Ghanaian rapper of not being transparent with the whole deal.

He further applauded Sarkodie for making such a big move to collaborate with an international superstar on Storm FM.

“I like the boldness of our new and young artists because for a young artiste like Sarkodie to make a move to record with an artist of Ace Hood’s calibre, then it means the new generation artistes are serious about what they are doing. And if there’s a figure like $25,000 in between everything that’s happening, then it shows people are working hard and serious.

If you go to Nigeria, Snoop Dogg and others have done collaborations with Nigerian artistes and it’s because the Nigerians have planned to invade the American market.

I wouldn’t like to look at who called who and who advised who. This banter going on may be a ploy for the two to hype the production coming out. It’s show business and everything is possible. As a young artist like Sarkodie, doing what he is doing now, I will advise we support him rather than over criticize his effort.

This Hip-hop is all about hype so let’s not read so much meanings into it.”
