Renowned Ghanaian broadcaster Kwasi Aboagye has weighed in on comments made by social media influencer Gisela Amponsah about her father.

Gisela Amponsah recently made headlines for her unfiltered remarks about her strained relationship with her father during a podcast.

She described her father as a "demon" and blamed him for many negative experiences in her life.

Her comments sparked widespread debate on social media, with many weighing in on the appropriateness of discussing such personal matters publicly.

Adding his voice to the issue, Kwasi Aboagye, speaking on Accra-based Okay FM on August 8, 2024, expressed concern over Gisela's strong language, noting that "hate is a strong word."

He advised that when parents fail to take responsibility or make mistakes, leaving the matter to God is better than airing one’s grievances on social media.

“When your parent does something wrong or doesn't take responsibility for you, leave it to God. It is not your fight, leave it to God instead of taking the matter to social media to talk about it,” he said.

Aboagye lamented the current generation's reluctance to heed advice from older individuals, adding that they only listen to those with more money.

He emphasised the importance of respecting elders and the inevitability of becoming parents themselves one day.

“This generation does not like advice, even from older people. They only take advice from people who have more money. It is not right, they will all grow up to become parents one day,” he added.
