The Distribution Association of Ghana has stated that they no longer interested in working with Award-Winning Director Leila Djansi.
According to them, Leila Djansi had a little misunderstanding with one of their client John Issah on a business deal which didn’t go well. “Leila Djansi insulted the president of Mustapha Adams, our Chairman Mr. Steve Hackman and the entire distributors calling us names” the PRO of Distributors Association of Ghana Felix Arhin explained.
According to Felix Arhin, until Leila comes to apologize to the entire distributors they are not going to market her movies and see to it all their members abide by the decision of Distributors Association.
“We want her to know that the film industry exited before her and our members have been protecting it ever since so she can’t insult our President, our Chairman and the entire distributors and go with it free”. Felix Arhin added.
The award winning producer known for movies such as "Ties That Bind", "Sinking Sands" and "I Sing Of A Well" had written an article and pasted on her wall revealing some of the deals of the Opera Square describing them as “Opera Square Marfia”.
She recently pasted on her facebook wall saying “wondering why you have not seen Ties on the streets in Ghana yet? Opera square says I have to send them an official apology letter. Can someone please help me draft one? bwahahahahaha!!!!! I will do more than send them an apology letter. I will publish it in the newspaper for them”.
As it stands now, the distributors have made their decisions not to work with Leila Djansi until she brings an apology letter.
