Leila Djansi goes to Hollywood with ‘And There Was You’

Leila Djansi’s first Hollywood produced film; ‘And Then There Was You’ which starring Hollywood names like Garcelle Beauvais, Lynn Whitfield, Brian White and Greg Vaughan is ready for Africa cinemas.

The Ghanaian director of international repute has today announced that the film will start showing at the Silverbird cinemas in Ghana on December 13.

“Don’t miss the opening of And There Was You at Silverbird Cinemas on Friday. You can’t afford to miss the thrill,” she added.

‘And Then There Was You’ is a Turning Point Pictures production in association with OHTV, headed by Akin Salami and Michael Djaba.

Hollywood actress Garcelle Beauvais stars in the film as a teacher and has to stitch up the pieces of her life after her husband leaves. When she falls for a new man, she discovers he, too, has relationship-ending secrets.

Also in the film are Lynn Whitfield, Greg Vaughan, Leon Robinson, Kate Nauta, Brian White and Trilby Glover.

Leila Djansi wrote the script while Suzanne Patrick, Ryan Daly and Tim Taylor are producers of the movie and Dave Harper is the executive producer.

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke and Nigerian born American actress Ebbe Bassey also acted in it.

Production wrapped up in June in Los Angeles this year and underwent six months of pre-production.
