Leila Djansi teases movie audiences

Ghanaian movie director Leila Djansi is keeping movie fans in limbo over the release of the first season of her newly directed drama series, 'Poisoned Bait'.

She is yet to announce the release date for the film that had generated a lot of interest right from the time it was being shot in Accra.

Over the weekend, the director released a snippet of the movie on social media, Facebook, to whet the appetite for the main movie.

She urged movie fans to brace themselves for exciting times ahead, as other installments of the series will be released soon.

'Poisoned Bait' is an Iroko TV production led by young Ghanaian actress, Marie Humbert, and other influential actors on the continent.

They include Adjetey Anang, Mary Remmy Njoku, Gideon Okeke, John Dumelo, Ama K. Abebrese, Naa Ashorkor Mensah, Grace Omaboe, aka Maame Dokono, Edward Agyekum Kufuor and a host of others.

It tells the story of Ariel (Marie Humbert), a literary agent and her client, Betty (Marry Remmy Njoku) whose book on marriage creates a juxtaposition between her marriage and Ariel’s marriage to Henry (Adjetey Anang) which is threatened by the presence of her ex, Bernard (Gideon Okeke).
