Over the past few months, Communications Head for Chaterhouse, George Quaye, made claims that most offers of bribe that come to him as an executive of the VGMA scheme are from gospel artists.

This didn't sit well with the Gospel acts in the country, and they have decided to boycott the awards ceremony come April 8. It didn't only end there for the seasoned entertainment pundit as bribery allegations were metted out at him.

A few industry players such as Nacee and DKB have come out to defend him, Nacee pleaded on behalf of George Quaye that Gospel Artistes should forgive him for his statement since he (George Quaye) came out to apologize, DKB on the other hand came out to debunk all bribery allegations about George Quaye.

I met up with rising star in the comedy industry, Lekzy DeComic to find out what he has to say about this issue.

"With the few encounters I have had with George Quaye, I'd say he is a noble and honest person, he is a person who you can trust won't do what most publications are saying he has done. Instead of taking money, he rather advice on how to invest our hard earned money" he said

He further went on to share his disappointment on how the musicians who have passed through George Quaye failed to come to his defense when this issue cropped up.

"I was disappointed when this issue came out and there was no musician who could come out and defend George, it was only DKB I know of who was on the defensive for G.Q, as a straight forward person that he is, I was expecting a number of industry people to rally behind him, but such is life" he finally said.

George Quaye, was reported to have said on the popular entertainment television show, "Pundits" that the most offers of bribe that come to him as an executive of the VGMA scheme are from gospel artists.
