Sensational hip-life musician Guru has urged his fellow musicians to help promote education in the country.
Guru, as part of his social responsibilities, is embarking on a charity project dubbed ‘ EDUCATION FOR ALL ‘ which is aimed at distributing over 20,000 exercise books to school children throughout the country.
The first phase of the project took place in Accra through which the hip-life music ‘Guru’, distributed 15,000 free books to some section of pupils.
Guru, talking to Dr. Who host of hot and classic showbiz review on Hot 93.9fm in Accra, urged his fellow artists also to help in promoting education by tackling other areas in the educational sector:
“Education is one area that should be tackled with much seriousness. Am doing my part by distributing over 20,000 free books but it’s not enough considering the fact that books are not the only thing they need “Guru noted to Dr. Who.
Guru continued, "I’m urging my fellow musicians who have been blessed to give back to the society they were nurtured from.They should also tackle other areas in the educational sector. Let’s help promote education in the country.
Guru’s second phase of his charity project will be held in Takoradi then to the Brong Ahafo region where over 10,000 books would be shared freely.
