Lifestyle: You are a 'Headline'

File Photo File Photo

Newspapers have lots of stories but not all these stories make it to the front page. News bulletins have lots of stories but not all of them make the headlines.

Headlines and front page stories are the most prevalent news and people give it all the needed attention, be it negative or positive. It becomes the trending or most popular news item.

In our world today, most people can't earn a spot in the headlines or front page unless they commit a scandal. There are celebrities who rose to fame today through that.

Some people will do anything just to become a headline, some even pay money. Yet some of you have become headlines for others but you feel sad and bad about it.

There are somethings you should never be sad about; if anyone spend their day talking about you, while ignoring their personal issues like bills, food, shelter, family, relationship, etc, then you are a headline.

It also means they don't have their own mind or business so you have become their business. And what consumes one’s mind controls their life. In other words, you control their life, something you should be happy about.

What this means is that, while you are worrying about your job, someone is praying to get it; while you are complaining about your partner, someone is dreaming of having them; while you are seeing your life as a mess, you appear a success to someone else and while you see your life as a misfortune, another person sees your life as a blessing.

If you are worth talking about, you are important. You are not just news but a headline.

It's a total waste of time trying to reply them; no matter how bad they talk about you, one thing you need to know is that, you don't need to be perfect to inspire people. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfection.

Even if they are spreading lies about you, the best you can do is to keep your mouth shut and your eyes open; for the truth I know always comes out in the end.

The truth is, we are all damaged in one way or another, no one is perfect, but if they can spend time talking about your imperfection, it shows how important you are.

In conclusion "Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from trouble" - Proverbs 21:23 (MEV).

Please share with your friends, someone out there needs this.
