Celebrated Kumawood actor/musician,Kwadwo Nkansah aka Lil Win has dedicated an honoring award he received from International Godsway Church headed by Bishop Daniel Obinim to Dr Stephen Opuni.
The star actor was a surprise quest during last Sunday’s service as the church organized an awards ceremony for deserving persons.
Lil Win who emerged winner of the Excellence Sustainable Development Achievement Award during the ceremony was presented with a plague as well as a medal, which was supervised by Bishop Obinim.
It would be recalled that,Dr Stephen Opuni, a former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), had sued Multimedia Group Limited (MGL), owners of Adom TV, for GHS10million for defaming him.
Also named in the suit are Daniel Nii Odoi Tutuwani, a producer at Adom TV and the award-winning actor Lilwin, as second and third defendants, respectively.
But upon receiving the award, Lil Win after thanking his cherished fans, took the whole auditorium by surprise when he dedicated the award to Dr.Opuni
“This award I dedicate it to former cocoa board Dr.Opuni”,Lil Win quipped
www.Razzonline.com can not quickly ascertain whether Lil Win was using his gesture as a way of appealing to the former Cocoa Board head to retract his suit from court.
