Award-winning Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as LilWin, has expressed his frustration over the high costs associated with running his new barbershop in Kumasi.

In December 2024, LilWin officially opened Wezzy Barbering Studios with a grand event to address the lack of professional barbers in the Offinso-Ahenekro community.

However, a month later, in an interview with ZionFelix, the actor highlighted the financial challenges of operating the barbershop, mentioning the significant expenses on items such as lights, mirrors, and other interior decorations.

"You can search the internet for the price of a barber chair. Some of them cost over $1,300. Even the lights cost $1,000, and the mirrors cost between $4,000 and $5,000.

“So owning a barbershop is not easy. I have spent a lot,” he said.

He noted that Wezzy Barbering Studios is a temporary setup to test the market, with plans to acquire more land and build a larger barbershop.

Since rising to fame in the Kumawood movie industry, LilWin has diversified his business ventures, including establishing the Great Minds International School, an ultra-modern educational institution in Offinso Ahenekro, as well as Weezy Empire Film Village in Kwamang-Boaman in Kumasi.
