Wezzy Empire, the management team of actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has issued an apology to the family of Tawiah Ampomah, the 3-year-old boy who tragically lost his life in an accident.

The statement from Wezzy Empire, obtained by GhanaWeb, expressed deep regret over their previous communication, which was criticized as "insensitive" by the public. They extend their heartfelt apologies to the grieving family.

Furthermore, in light of the tragic incident, the premiere of "A Country Called Ghana," initially scheduled for June 1, 2024, in Sunyani, has been postponed indefinitely.

“The management of Wezzy Empire regretfully announce the postponement of the premiere of its movie "A Country Called Ghana," initially scheduled to be screened in Sunyani on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

"The CEO and management extend their sincere condolences to the bereaved family and wish a speedy recovery to the father, Jacob Kofi Amponsah.

"We also understand that our previous communication may have been perceived as insensitive, and we apologize for any unintended distress caused. As LilWin and our artist manager, Ray Moni, continue to receive treatment at the Accident Emergency Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, our thoughts are with them for a speedy recovery. We assure fans who have procured tickets that their tickets remain valid and can be used at a later date to be communicated,” portions of the statement read.

This apology follows widespread criticism directed at LilWin for the delayed expression of remorse to the bereaved family.

Celebrities like Bridget Otoo and Afia Schwarzenegger have publicly condemned LilWin's behavior in the aftermath of the accident.

The unfortunate car crash involving LilWin occurred on May 25, 2024, in front of Grace Baptist Church in Amakom, Kumasi, resulting in injuries to him and two others.

All injured parties, including LilWin, were promptly taken to the Accident and Emergency Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Despite his injuries, LilWin attended the premiere of his new movie at the KNUST CCB Auditorium later that day.

Meanwhile, authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine its causes and reach a resolution.
