Live score of ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ on Twitter plus more surprises

A little over a week away from the much anticipated ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ music showdown, Empire Entertainment in a quest to maximize the fun experience for revelers on the night, has announced that it is partnering with Big Ideaz Consult and RLG Communications to introduce the live tweet competition at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre on July 1.

Concert goers will have the opportunity to tweet pictures from the event as well as live updates of the event and what they are up to and have them show in real time on LED screens to be placed all around the arena during the concert. A number of lucky fans at the Dome on that night who tweet the most entertaining and fun updates and pictures stand a chance of winning mega prizes such as laptops and phones from RLG.

That aside, RLG is also promising to give fans a lot of goodies to take home and have warned rave folks to beware of numerous surprises on the night.

Meanwhile, as the date for the much awaited showdown draws closer, both fans and performing acts from both Ghana and Nigeria seem to anxiously prepping up for the big and aiming to "bring down the roof" on the night.

Last Friday on TV3's "Spotlight" show, the swagger boys "Ruff and Smooth," obviously "fired up" by the show's growing momentum, also outlined their plans for the night with the simple declaration, " We will rock the Dome like never before."

In response to a question on the growing anticipation of a face off between the Ghanaian acts and their counterparts from Naija; the duo declared emphatically that if it came to a showdown Ghana would emerge on top and touted the show as being the "Ghana beats Naija concert" and not "Ghana meets Naija.

Which ever way the show goes on that electrifying 1st July night, one thing is for sure; that rave folks will enjoy a maximised concert experience, that has never been done in Ghana.

Perhaps this accounts for the "mad rush" in demand that has greeted the sale of the tickets at both the ticket outlets and online as well. With demand currently at a massive high, organisers are predicting that tickets may just be sold out well before the "d-day." What is interesting however is that, though most of the tickets have been bought by Ghanaians, a chunk of the online reservations on www.ticketdoug.com have also come from Nigeria.

Limited tickets remaining are said to be available at Koala, Silverbird Store, Airport Shell, JoyFm and at the Empire Entertainment Head office at Lartehbiokoshie for GHC40 regular and GHC70 VIP. Both Ghanaian and Nigerian fans can also buy tickets online at www.ticketdoug.com.

The stage is certainly set for a mega showdown of sorts and if the current momentum is anything to go by, then we cant wait to experience that 1st July night.

The GHANA MEETS NAIJA Concert, is powered by Empire Entertainment. It is sponsored by RLG Communications, Smirnoff Vodka, Digital Innovation and Royal Richester with support from JoyFm, Hitz Fm, Hitz Tv, YFM, 4SYTE TV, BuzzGh, ameyawdebrah.com, ghanacelebrities.com,FLEX newspaper and HI newspaper.
