Lorrencia Nkrumah wins top award in Rwanda

Ghanaian journalist, Lorrencia Nkrumah was on the 19th of November adjudged the winner of the Jury’s special Prize in the Radio for Peace Building Awards held in Kigali, Rwanda.

The awards organized by Search for Common Ground, an international non-governmental organisation, seeks to recognize African journalists for their high quality radio programmes that contributes to promoting peace and tolerance on the Africa continent.

The competition, which was open to all radio journalists in Africa, was organised as part of Search for Common Ground’s Radio for Peace building Africa Project (RFPA).

This project aims to strengthen the professionalization of African media practitioners to provide accurate, credible, balanced and useful information to the populations.

This year’s awards saw other two journalists from Burundi and South Africa win the Media and Youth Award respectively.
