Star actress Lydia Forson left Ghana on Wednesday evening for the United States of America, where she is expected to join an array of Nollywood stars for the premiere of ‘In The Cupboard’.
‘In The Cupboard’ is a movie produced by rLG ambassador Desmond Elliot and has been described as one of the best movies to have come out of Desmond’s stables this year. Advertised as a family movie, it portrays how a family thrives to find perfection even in the midst of its imperfections.
It is a story that revolves round the lives of six siblings born into the rich, aristocratic Desouza family, a name synonymous with wealth and power. Everything seems perfect in their lives until their father dies unexpectedly and all of them gather together from different parts of the world to be with their mother, the elegant matriarch Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Desouza (played by legendary actress Biola Williams), for two weeks. What ensues is a series of events that threatens to shake the family to its very foundations.
The movie’s star-studded cast includes Nollywood actress Ini Edo alongside Big Brother Africa Winner Uti Nwachukwu, Mr Nigeria 1st Runner-Up Alexx Ekubo, ZAFAA winner Bishop Ime Umoh and features upcoming actors Morris Sesay and Tessy Abubakar and award-winning Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson.
Currently, the movie is set for theatre releases but will be heralded by premieres across US. The first premiere was at the Center Inc., New Jersey on November 4.
It will also be screened on November 12 in New York, USA at 1744 Nostrand Avenue, Bet Cortelyou & Clarendon Road, Brooklyn, NY, with a star-studded array of Nollywood stars.
Ramsey Nouah, Genevieve Nnaji, Emem Isong and Monalisa Chinda are just a few names expected to be at the New York premiere. There will be another premiere at the Studio Movie Grill in Dallas on Sunday, November 13.
