Lydia Forson Parties Secretly In Nigeria

Star actress Lydia Forson is currently not in Ghana as a reliable source has revealed that she jetted out of the country yesterday on a fun trip to Nigeria.

News-one sources said the actress had been invited to Nigeria for a huge party being thrown in her honour by some of her fans, who has been yearning to meet her. Other details of the party are not forthcoming but the sources said it would be attended by other top celebrities in Nollywood and very popular political figures. Efforts to reach Lydia yesterday on her phone proved futile. It is also not clear if she is the only Ghanaians star who will be at the event. However, she will be returning early Saturday morning to attend a friend’s wedding.

She will subsequently jet back to Nollywood where further info says she is finalizing talks to start shooting a new movie very soon. Lydia was in the news this weekend for saving the life of a 2-year –old baby, Kalila Mahama. The baby was diagnosed of a heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and she has been rescued, courtesy actress Lydia Forson.

News-One reported last November that Lydia Forson had gone on a begging spree to raise a cash amount of $36330 to pay for the cost of a surgical operation to save Kalila and she has succeeded in raising the money. Kalila has been successfully operated on in US and she is doing well, according to her medical file. “Kalila is Ok,” her mum, Faiza Iddrisu, told News-One earlier on. “She was treated at the Riley Hospital for children by Surgeon Mark Turrenpine.

The surgeon mentioned that her surgery was challenging and that her form of Tretrelogy was not what they were typically used,” she added. “Thanks to everyone who helped in any way towards achieving our goal, especially Lydia Forson, Kelsey Kaufman, Tareo Stinebrickner-Kaufman Rafiq iddrisu of Achimota School Alumni, our families, my husband and the Gift of Life Programme in Indiana, USA. I say thanks to everybody and God bless them,” she added.
