Popular actress, Lydia Forson, last Saturday showed her emceeing prowess when she anchored the first ever women achievers award ceremony dubbed, ‘Printex GoWoman Award’, organized by textile giant, Printex Limited.
The bubbly actress indeed wowed her audience with her presentation.
Her performance sent a signal to Ghana’s renowned emcees to watch out for her.
Lydia received public bashing when she emceed the opening of season 5 of TV3 mentor reality show. She has since not tried emceeing any programme.
However after that incident, she has spoken on huge platforms including the African Movie Academy Award where she faced a large crowd.
On Saturday night, she put some smiles on the faces of the audience and drove the show to a successful end though there was an obvious lapse in the flow of information from the organizers to her.
The Printex GoWoman award was organized by Printex in collaboration with GoWoman magazine and Baileys at the Mövenpick Hotel in Accra to celebrate and recognize women achievers.
Actress Yvonne Nelson, Minister of Children, Gender and Social Protection Nana Oye Lithur, fashion designer Aisha Obuobi popularly known as Christie Brown and Liberian peace activist Leymah Gbowee were all honoured for their various contributions in their fields of endeavor.
They received frames with citations as well as some souvenirs from Printex and other sponsors. Singer Efya also set the place agog with her exciting performances.
