The Worla Festival Of Arts & Music is an annual all-day music and arts event held in Accra – Ghana. The name itself ”Worla” means ”the creator”.
The festival is also an extension of the artistic facets of Ghanaian musician, Worlasi, who doubles as a painter and animator.
Building on his progress as an artist, multi-talented musician, Worlasi is expanding his annual end of year concert usually held at Alliance Francaise, into a full-blown arts festival, climaxed with a musical concert headlined by Worlasi himself.
Worlafest 2018 seeks to bring together all art lovers and music enthusiasts from across Africa and the world to Accra once a year.
This is also an opportunity for artists to showcase their work, network with other artists and other stakeholders in the industry.
The festival also gives way for food vendors, sponsors and other service providers to book stands to market and sell their products and services to an audience of over 2,000 people from across Africa.
This year’s festival takes place at Alliance Française on Friday, the 7th of December – which also happens to be a holiday (Farmers Day).
The art exhibitions kicks off at 2pm and the concert at 4pm with headliners, M.anifest, Trigmatic, Epixode, Akan and Worlasi himself.
There will also be 5 other opening acts yet to be unveiled.
Rates for the event are GHC 30.00 For Adults, GHC 15.00 for Alliance Francais Students and Cultural members. The event is, however, free for children under 16 years of age.
Come, catch Worlasi and other artists plus musicians as they treat you to hours of music and arts made in Africa!
