Someway Bi rapper, M.anifest went on a twitter rant to register his disappointment in Ghana's media promoting foreign artists ahead of Ghanaian talents.
The rapper, preparing to release his next album wrote;
“Yesterday, whilst driving, I heard a jingle on radio advertising a show to reward the best Bob Marley impersonator in Ghana. Disappointing.”
“Sometimes it feels as if Ghanaians want to be everyone, but ourselves.”
The rapper in another tweet commented on Kendrick Lamar’s Pimp A Butterfly album that dropped earlier this week.
“I always know I'm going to like an album when casual listeners call it trash. I remember when the Love Below dropped. Same thing.”
“Was listening to Kendrick's album early in the am today. 3x. Brilliant artist. Dope music. Provocative. That mofo is bold!”
“I'm a sucker for music with vibes, that's generous with truth, and has high replay value.”
He took a swipe at artists who compiled their hit singles and presented them as albums.
“But in Africa the concept of making albums was murdered a little while back. Make singles. Put them together. More like compilations.”
“Brymo one of the few still making albums on this side. 2 criminally slept on albums. Asa obviously, but that one dey different boat inside.”
“When the tastemakers have bad taste.”
“When they want to silence reason and unflinching believe in us being able to be greater they'll say "you dey rush," "you be too known," etc.”
“No chill. I'm even tempted to announce the title of my next album this morning. But make I apply the brakes small.”
