The highly anticipated worship event, MTN Stands in Worship 2018, was held yesterday with lots of music lovers thronging the Fantasy Dome at Trade Fair to enjoy a night in God’s presence.

The concert, which is an annual gospel music event aimed at entertaining Ghanaian gospel music lovers, is being organised to thank God for the mercies and kindness He continues to shower on Ghana.

Ghanaian Gospel acts like Joe Beechem, Obaapa Christy, Koda, Joe Mettle, Yaw Sarpong & Asomanfo, Eugene Zuta among others graced the night with great performances.

While Celestine Donkor displayed God’s goodness through music, veteran Gospel artiste, Joe Beechem, proved that indeed he had not lost his zest for worship in reverence to God.

2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle did a back to back ministration of his hit songs ‘Onwanwani’, ‘ Bo Nooni’, and the most recent ‘My Everything’ erupting the audience into excitement.

Obaapa Christy, on the hand, was relentless with her performance as Yaw Sarpong & Asomanfo rendered some classics from their collection of gospel music.

The highlight of the evening was when guests of artistes, South Africa’s Patrick Duncan and Nigeria’s Sammi Okposo performed their best as they rubbed shoulders with their Ghanaian counterparts by stemming a heart of worship out of the attendees.

Patrick Duncan, who had earlier stated that he was ready to lead patrons of the concert in a great time of worship and praise, matched up to his words as he led the crowd with his famous track ‘Phind Ukhulume’ song.

Nigeria’s Sammie Okposo, taking his turn, introduced the audience first with an electrifying worship session and then praise from some of his popular songs.

The MTN ‘Stands in Worship’ concert as expected, brought together thousands of Christians and gospel music lovers on one platform to worship and praise God.

The unforgettable night has been anticipated to linger in the minds and hearts of those who attended this year’s MTN Stands in Worship until the next year.
