Ghanaian rapper Sherif Abdul Majeed, popularly known as Maccasio, revived the 69 Peace Concert on November 9, 2024, drawing a massive crowd to the Tamale Sports Stadium.

This concert, marking Maccasio’s eighth major show at the stadium, brought back the peace-themed event first introduced in 2016, which had been on hold since 2020.

Maccasio, the leader of the 69 Fanbase, launched the original 69 Peace Concert to promote unity in election years, drawing thousands of fans.

Although the event faced a hiatus, this year’s return was met with enthusiastic support.

Fans and music lovers from across the region gathered to enjoy performances from top northern Ghanaian artists, including Fad Lan, Dobble Tee, Wizchild, and David AJ, among other notable names in the industry.

Following his performance, Maccasio addressed the crowd and urged them to uphold peace as the December 7 elections approach.

Declaring himself the "King of Rap," he emphasized the importance of maintaining peace for the well-being of the country.

“Peace is essential not only for today but for the next generation,” he noted, encouraging fans to embrace unity.

The 69 Peace Concert’s successful return demonstrates Maccasio’s continued influence and commitment to using music as a platform for social harmony, underscoring his role as an ambassador for peace in Ghana.
