When Ghanaian celebrities like Mzbel, John Dumelo, Mr. Beautiful, Ola Kwaku Michael and others are touring Ghana throwing more light on what president John Dramani Mahama did for the creative arts sector during his first term, music producer Appietus has told MzGee on Hitz FM that he cannot mention anything the flag bearer of NDC has done for the industry.
The sound engineer said the Mahama-led NDC government did nothing, which directly affected the players in the industry.
He disclosed that musicians like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Ghanaians who follow the arts will not be able to pinpoint what president Mahama did to help the industry after he was voted into power four years ago.
“It is difficult to tell five things this government has done that directly affects us. If you ask Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale or anyone on the streets what they (NDC) have done that has affected their career, they can’t tell.
If you ask me Appiah, I can’t tell what they did that really affected me. I can’t say they built an international standard studio in Ghana that can be compared to what Jay Z and others use in America that can help unearth talents. What have they done?
They said research, after the research what happened? If you give me money to go and research, you have to propel the outcome.
I need to feel what the government is doing so if I’m not feeling, then they are doing nothing.” Appietus told MzGee.
