Gospel singer Nicholas Omane Acheampong has once again voiced his opinion that the ex-president and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, is unfit for the presidency.
A while ago, the gospel musician asserted that Mr Mahama lacks the ability to address the concerns of Ghanaians.
He also suggested that the NDC harbors a vengeful sentiment due to his defeat in the 2016 elections.
However, despite facing numerous criticism for his earlier remarks about Mahama, the 'Zaphnath-Paaneah' hitmaker remains unshaken.
During his interview with Oyerepa TV monitored by GhanaWeb, Mr. Nicholas Omane Acheampong remained resolute in his position and declined to offer an apology despite significant criticism.
"This is Mahama's final shot at the presidency, and if he's elected, I fear he will retaliate for the 2016 electoral loss. He won't be as invested because he won't run again. My assertion remains that he will show indifference towards the Ghanaian populace. What's there to apologize for to NDC supporters? Did I offend anyone?" he articulated in Twi.
Meanwhile, Mr John Dramani Mahama is preparing to compete against the Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as well as other candidates from different political groups, in his pursuit of the presidency.
The much-awaited general election is set for December 7, 2024.
