Dubbed ‘the search for the perfect gentleman’, the search will focus on empowering young men in Ghana and introducing them to the world of possibilities, encouraging them to reach for the ultimate in life.
The event aims at nurturing and grooming selected intelligent young men with the desire to excel in life. They will be challenged and rewarded for their intelligence, innovation and smartness, as well as for their poise, grace and uniqueness.
In the process, Harlem World Entertainment, the event organizers hopes to find that one young man ready to take on the world as a celebrity, young entrepreneur, youth ambassador and role model, who will sell the culture and way of life of the Ghanaian people to the international community.
In a social responsibility conscious society like ours, the eventual winner of Male Icon Ghana 2011 under the auspices of the organizers and in collaboration with the John Hopkins project Office in Ghana will work as a youth ambassador for the ‘Good Life- live it well’ campaign to educate Ghanaians especially the youth about living healthy life styles to promote good health and a healthy society as well as eduvcate young people about the dangers of drugs.
The competition is open to all residents of Ghana who are male between the ages of 18 and 28 years with sound mind and body.
What is unique about this one of a kind event is the fact that it also serves as a mentorship program for potential delegates who will have the once in a life time opportunity of meeting their role models or mentors in the country one on one, this is aimed at helping the young men pick a few lessons from these men and women of higher society that they look up to.
