Mama Zimbi to assist the needy

Ace radio and TV talk show hostess, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, known in private life as Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi, has disclosed that the Mama Zimbi Foundation (MZF) will continue to support poor families and the needy children across the nation.

The ‘Odo Ahomaso’ presenter on Adom 106.3 FM and Multi TV and currently reigning as one of the most-influential TV and radio personalities in Ghana has assisted a number of widows and children in some parts of the country.

In a chat with BEATWAVES, she revealed that “much as people are in need, it is our responsibility as neighbours to help one other.”

She said although people are committed to helping the needy; they need to continue and not turn their backs at them because the society is burdened with a lot of issues.

The ace presenter, thus, called on other well-meaning Ghanaians to come on board to join the foundation to ensure that its goals are achieved.

Akumaa Mama Zimbi last week donated for delivery beds, 600 pieces of T-rolls and 30 boxes of Ice Cool Purified water to the Somanya Polyclinic as part of Mama Zimbi Foundation’s (MZF) philanthropic activities.

Mama Zimbi, who is currently the co-ambassador for World Heart Day in Ghana, is the founder and Executive Director of Mama Zimbi Foundation (MZF), a non-governmental organisation which initiated the Widows Alliance Network (WANE) that supports vulnerable widows and their needy children, with membership of over 8,000 widows across Ghana.
