Police are on the heels of Ghanaian-Romanian musician, film director and cultural icon Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, known by his stage name Wanlov the Kubolor.
The musician who revealed this himself in a live Facebook video streaming monitored by MyNewsGh.com, revealed that it is in relation rape allegations against Chale Wote Festival Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mantse Aryeequaye who is instigating the arrest which is not sanctioned officially by the police.
Mantse has been accused of physically and verbally assaulting the people close to him especially his ex-girlfriend, Dr. Sionne Neely who has released a statement revealing that he is prepared to come down to Ghana to testify against him.
Wanlov who is not in the country at the moment, reveals that Mantse Aryeequaye has sent personnel of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service after him wondering what his crime is in a matter that is civil.
“Mantse started arresting people who were cited in an article about his previous scandal. The article said Mantse beat his partners but the police are not investigating the matter but rather intimidating those of us who know about it. Mantse you sent CID to Panji’s house to look for me…you are not correct. Right now we want the commanders to investigate those police officers you sent after us”, he said.
He revealed that the police should rather investigate Mantse Aryeequaye he abused and threatened with death is prepared to jet into the country and testify against him.
“The woman you beat, threatened and sent text messages is ready to come down and testify against you. Who is the foolish one now? Police are looking for me to arrest because of what someone has done but the media is refusing to report. They are postponing it”, he added.
The musician however revealed that he will be in Ghana on 23rd September and dared the police to arrest him.
