Some Members of Parliament (MP) holding citizenship of other countries and thus not qualified to sit in Ghana's parliament have been identified by a source.
According to Article 94 (2a) of the constitution, a person legible to be a Member of Parliament must not owe allegiance to any other country other than Ghana. They are:
- Kennedy Adjepong, MP for Assin North: He holds both Ghanaian and United States citizenship

- Hon. Joseph Henry Mensah (NPP) MP for Sunyani East and Senior minister holds a British passport
- A recently appointed minister, who is also an MP is a British citizenship ..still being investigated
At least two other MPs are allegedly holding onto their US citizenship while still in the Ghanaian parliament.
