There’s little shred of cynicism on the fact that, Joe Mettle is blessed. VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’, EMY Awards ‘Entertainer’ of the Year honours and a growing following was capped with a very well-attended concert over the weekend.
The less publicized concert, the live DVD recording of his fourth studio album, ‘God of Miracles’ – was heavily attended by members of Christendom, who filled the Accra International Conference Center to its capacity.
The event, which was also attended by the parents of the artist, had the presence of some popular gospel acts including the likes of Cwesi Oteng, SP Kofi Sarpong, Ceccy Twum, Eugene Zutah, Abena Ruthy, Willie and Mike and many others.
The ‘God of Miracles’ concert featured stellar performances from Akesse Brempong, Ohemaa Mercy, Teddy Amilack and South African Ntokozo Mbambo plus the legendary Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo.
Joe Mettle took the stage and for over an hour, took the audience through a medley of songs on his new album and he called on the likes of Akesse Brempong, Ohemaa Mercy and Ntokozo Mbambo for spirit-lifting performances of their respective collaborations on the album.
The show was expertly commandeered by fellow artist and presenter at LIVE FM, Jeshurun Okyere.
