On Tuesday, 10th September 2024, US-based Ghanaian gospel musician Edd Agyapong will release his first major single of the year, 'Maseda', featuring Ghanaian-based musician Nana Adobea Sikapa.

'Maseda' (My Thanksgiving) is a personal testimony for both Edd Agyapong and Nana Adobea Sikapa. It serves as the ultimate Thanksgiving song for anyone, regardless of religious beliefs or background, who has experienced goodness and favor. Reflecting on their personal experiences and how God intervened in their lives just in time, Edd Agyapong shared:

“Before and during the recording of this song, I initially wanted to call it Aseda because the Lord deserves all the glory. But after listening to the song once it was recorded, I realized this was a personal testimony—a complete summary of who I am and how far the Lord has brought me. I decided to go with 'Maseda' instead of Aseda because this is my personal Thanksgiving to the Lord for His goodness and last-minute miracles when they mattered most.”

Nana Adobea Sikapa also reflected on her personal journey, saying:

“This song, like most of my songs, was easy to record. When I first heard it, I only prayed for one word, and once I received it, the flow was effortless. Edd Agyapong’s message resonated with me deeply, which made a huge difference during the recording process. However, after listening to the song several times post-recording, I realized how personal everything I said was to my life and the challenges I’ve been facing. 2024 has been a tough year for me, but the Lord has always come through. 'Maseda' is my way of asking God to come through for me once again.”

Produced by US-based Ghanaian producer Osei, 'Maseda' is an upbeat tune suitable for any situation or mood, perfectly straddling the gray lines between praise and worship. The music video, shot by renowned Ghanaian videographer McWillies, creatively showcases the stunningly rich landscapes of Ghana to bring the 'Maseda' testimony to life for all music video enthusiasts.
