Scores of theatre-goers and movie lovers last Saturday, 24th September 2016, thronged the Silverbird Cinema at the Accra mall, for the premiering of “Purple” movie.

“Purple”, which is the first movie from the young award winning video director and CEO of Seven Street Multimedia, Prince Dovlo, seems to have really thrilled and fully met the expectations of most of the people who had the opportunity to watch the first screening of the movie that people kept calling their loves ones at home to tell them about the movie.

“Great movie, it was is very different and exciting… I really loved the movie and the way they fused our local artist and music. It is the best local movie for me so far. I knew Dovlo would deliver and he didn’t disappoint...” some of those who watched the movie were heard chatting heartily amongst themselves.

Fierce critic and blogger, David Mawuli, Ameyaw Debrah director Pascal AKA and Kofi Asamoah were also impressed with the movie and the turn out.

Pappy Kojo, Akwaboah and other celebrities who starred in the movie joined the other cast on the red card carpet and interacted with the media, their fans and most people present at the premiere.

The only down side of the movie premiere was that the crowd who came in to watch the movie was too much, to a point that some people had to return home without watching .

Speaking to the director about the Premiere, he had this to say: “First of all, the cast, the production team and myself, are grateful to God and everyone who came to watch the movie
We are still overwhelmed by the great turn out and would like to apologize to everyone who had come to watch the movie but wasn’t able to, or bought ticket in advance but weren’t able to watch due to the crowd.

To make it up, for those who couldn’t watch the movie we will have a second “Purple” premiere at the West Hills Mall on the 1October 2016”.
