Ghana’s Clement Akuoko is fast making a good case for himself on the MTN project fame as he got legendary singer Michael Bolton to give him plaudits on the show Sunday night.
In what can be described as one of the most emotional evenings the reality show has seen, the project fame contestant performed Bolton’s ‘Back on my feet’ so well the audience got on their feet, the judges were left speechless.
Bolton immediately tweeted "@Clement_PFame @MTN_ProjectFame thank u so much."
Clement who had a broken leg during rehearsals came up on stage in a wheelchair and sang the song fantastically well.
His situation at the time combined with his great talented vocal propelled him and made him the best performer of the night.
Other contestants also gave the audience thrilling performances. There was Ruky who drew in the audience as she performed Miley Cyrus’s 'Wrecking Ball', Flourish did her own version of Celine Dion’s 'I Love You' including Geofery, who got the audience yelling in excitement. Christian also performed Johnny Gill’s hit 'My My My'.
Bolton’s tweet came in before the judges could comment.
