Minister Dr. Seiwaah Kyei amazes NEGfest diaspora attendees with rendition of US and Ghana anthems

In a show of remarkable vocal talent and deep cultural pride, Minister Dr. Seiwaah Kyei captivated the audience at NEGFest 2024 with an impeccable performance of both the United States and Ghana national anthems.

The maiden edition of the New England Ghana Festival (NEGfest), held in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Saturday 7th September brought together a diverse crowd to celebrate culture, unity, and the bonds between Ghana and the diaspora.

Dr. Seiwaah Kyei delivered stirring renditions of "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "God Bless Our Homeland Ghana," flawlessly transitioning between the two with a grace that left attendees in total awe.

Her voice resonated through the venue, drawing loud applause and setting the tone for a night of celebration and cultural exchange.

The New England Ghana Festival (NEGFest 2024) Under The Auspices Of The Ghana Heritage Foundation (GHF) is in Partnership With The US-Ghana Embassy, Worcester State University, Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Ghana Ministry of Tourism, Arts And Culture, the Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwaaba Clinic, Nananom, Local Churches, And The entire Ghana Community In New England
and several other esteemed entities.

The festival was graced by the esteemed presence of Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng III, Omanhene of New Juaben, who served as the guest of honour of the event.

This year’s festival was anchored by the theme "Sankofa: Embracing Our Heritage, Connecting Our Past," a powerful message underscoring the importance of cultural preservation and the connection between past and present.

Attendees remarked on the power of her delivery, noting how her voice conveyed the significance of both anthems while honouring the history and values they represent.

The highlight of the festival, her performance added a special touch to an evening filled with musical showcases, cultural exhibitions, and panels on African and diasporic unity.

"It’s not every day that you see such a display of talent and respect for both nations in a single performance," said another participant.
