Sparrow Productions Limited has so far proven to have a firm grip on the organisation of the "New Face" Miss Ghana Pageant. And so far they have managed to entice not only pretty girls from the tertiary institutions to the contest for the crown but more of intelligent beauties are coming in.

It appears Ghana's dream to make a mark on the Miss World pageant is on course. The two competitions in the Northern and the Coastal zones came off very well and patrons to the shows had a lot to cheer about.Prizes for the pageant at the zonal and grand finals are not only juicy but tailored to encourage the winners to further their education and also enhance their careers.

Today, at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi, four more girls will be selected to join the 12 who have already picked their tickets to the grand final in Accra. What makes the preliminary event for the Central Zone comprising the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions more interesting is the line-up of artistes who will entertain the guests.

Batman, currently riding the crest of the wave with his hit song Linda and a host of others including 2003 Hiplife National Champion, Stephen Paddy, and smooth dancing Collins Dumfeh, National Dance Champion 2003 are all billed for the show.

US$10,000, a Polo saloon car, ?50 million for wardrobe for one year, ?2 million a month for a year plus a ticket to Miss World 2005 are worth working for and the contestants are expected to give of their best.

The final preliminary event scheduled for Hotel Eredec, Koforidua, will also select four more finalists to bring the number of qualifiers for the grand finale to 20
