Miss Ghana pageant to be organised in other countries

Alhaji Abu-Bakar Boniface Saddique, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Modernisation of the Capital City, said Miss Ghana pageant would in the near future be organised in other parts of the world where Ghanaians were resident.

Alhaji Saddique, who was addressing the launch of this year's Miss Ghana Pageant in Accra, said he was informed the programme was to help create a positive image for Ghana and promote the tourism sector.

He said participating in international events such as sports, beauty pageants or even international fairs was a way through which Ghana could be recognised.

He cautioned that Ghanaians should always strive for the positive additions to their ways of lives and discourage the negative aspects.

The Deputy Minister said he was happy that Media Whiz Kids, organisers of the Pageant, would start a cultural programme beginning from the districts, through the regional to the national level.
