Miss Universe to be stripped?

Miss Universe Ghana 2013, Hanniel Jamin has reportedly received threats that she would be stripped off her title because she has recently complained about unfair treatment by the organizers of the pageant.

Miss Jamin, NEWS-ONE gathered, had also been warned to zip her mouth and stop making demands for her passport, which is currently in the possession of the organizers.

This is the second time a Miss Universe Ghana winner is involved in a title stripping drama in less than a year.

Last year’s winner Gifty Ofori faced a similar fate when organizers said they had stripped her off her title because she complained about not receiving her full prize package.

The threat to also strip Miss Jamin was triggered by her social media comments that there were plans to have her replaced with one of her runners-up at the Miss Universe International event in Russia and that the Miss Universe organizers were keeping her passport to prevent her from securing a visa for the international event.

The 19-year-old model’s latest post on Facebook said that she was inundated with calls on Saturday October 19 that she would be stripped off her title as Miss Universe Ghana if she continued to demand for her passport.

Below is her latest comment on Facebook (unedited):

“Papa Yaw Addo Boateng-Annan (popularly known as P.Y, a TV presenter on ‘The One Show’ on Viasat One in Ghana), Roberta Annan (the national director of Miss Universe Ghana 2013 pageant), Erica Yayra Nego (who was the former Miss Universe Ghana 2011 and now the project manager of the company a.k.a the adviser who advises Roberta Annan to strip new titleholders of their titles before the end of their reign), Loretta Lois Kudjo (the lady that trickishly took me to the passport office who clearly knew I had nothing to do with the passport office and same day dropped me off at a bus-stop in Adabraka Ghana, the day I was kidnapped at gunpoint), have all threatened me today 19th October 2013 with phone calls and text messages to strip me off my title as the Miss Universe Ghana 2013 if I request for my passport again (same passport they seized for the past two months without processing my visa to Russia) so that I could go to the Russian embassy to start my visa procedure before I go to Russia.”

She continued, “Four different times they told me they were processing my visa to four different countries, when I thought all documents and visa was granted to me, they sabotaged my trips to those different countries just in the dying minute….And they put up a sabotaging picture (where I was tested with weird and excessively strange make-up) instead of my real and normal picture for promotional advert on pageant pages…Now they are at it again maybe trying to sabotage my 5th and most important trip….I have to represent Ghana at Miss Universe 2013 Int’l pageant because I am entitled to it.”

Whatever happens, the coming days shall provide the answers.
