Finance and Trade Consultant and New Patriotic Party(NPP) aspiring member of parliament for the Mfantsiman Constituency, James Korsah Brown, has opined that money is a huge necessity for a healthy relationship or marriage.

Discussing the topic ‘Money matters’ in an interview with Nana Yaw Odame on eTV Ghana’s Men’s Lounge, he stated that in everything, there should be a balance and relationships or marriages also need a balance of money and of course, the love.

James Brown said, “Money is like salt in marriage. Of course, the love can be there but you won’t use the love to pay the bills. You need money”.

According to him, money is the necessary condition to keep a relationship going and love is the sufficient condition.

He noted that if the man does not have money, but the woman does, once there is that love and partnership, there will be peace. However, if both sides are not economically viable, then it becomes a big problem in the relationship or marriage.

“Issues of bills and school fees will start piling up and when others start entering your home trying to take responsibility for all this, of course, they will start taking advantage of the home as well”, the politician furthered.

On this note, he derived that it is important to have money, at least enough to foot bills, so as to keep the home at peace.
