According to the radio station JoyFM, at least ten deputy ministers and regional ministers will no longer be in the president?s government.
Those to be affected include the deputy minister for Women and Children?s Affairs, J.B. Danquah-Adu and the deputy minister for the Interior, Captain retired Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey(pictured).
Our sources also say the Ashanti regional minister. S. K. Boafo is likely to be reassigned as minister for Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs, a position once held by Nana Akuoko Sarpong during the NDC regime.
Western regional minister, Joseph Boahene Adu is also on the list of ex ministers.
Meanwhile there is a tussle between NPP central regional executives and the Castle over the position of the central regional minister, Isaac Edumadze.
JOYNEWS sources say the President is reluctant to give in to pressure from the executives for his removal.
It is still uncertain whether the president will stand his ground or bow to pressure.
However, there have been no changes to the original list of deputy ministers.
They include: Miss Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey moving from information to foreign affairs as deputy, Oboshie Sai Coffie from deputy chief of staff to deputy information minister.
