Sleek beauty Beverly Asamoah Susuawu will next week fly to Orlando, United States of America, to represent Ghana at the 2011 edition of Mrs. World Beauty Pageant.
A graduate of the African University College of Communications in Accra, Susuawu emerged as a runner-up in the 2002 edition of Miss Ghana, while representing the Brong Ahafo region.
Immersed in deep dedication and determination to excel in the world of pageants, Susuawu caught the eye of promoters and was selected to participate in the Miss Earth Beauty Pageant, which was held in The Philippines in 2002.
With a solid poise and subtle gracefulness that swayed the multinational judges, she went on to grab two awards – Miss Catwalk and Poise as well as Most Well Behaved Contestant during the show, which attracted dozens of beauties from countries all over the world.
In the same year, Susuawu, who is married with two kids, participated in the Miss Tourism World Beauty Pageant in Turkey. Once again, the Ghanaian beauty took yet another award -Miss Tourism World Africa.
The concept for Mrs. World Beauty Pageant has its roots from the famous Miss America Beauty Pageant, which is one of the most respected pageants in the world. Undeniably, beauty remains a key element; however, contestants are also urged to express their views on marriage and current events.
All married women, young wives, mothers and even grandmothers are eligible to participate in Mrs. World, which has been held in several places in the world. These include Australia, Israel, Costa Rica, Hawaii, India and Russia.
