Miss Helina Ekua Quist and Master Emmanuel Antonio both from the Oriens Complex School in Accra have been adjudged Mr and Miss Kiddafest 2013 respectively.
This was after they beat 10 other contestants to win the competition, which was organised by the National Theatre in Accra.
In the Female Category, Miss Salomey Agyapomaa from Nouvelle Etoile in Accra took the first runner-up position, while Miss Gloria Owusu from the Sovereign International School Complex was adjudged the second runner-up.
The three-day event was filled with loads of fun and excitement as the competitors displayed a variety of artistic talents on stage. Among the displays were a carnival, a ‘jamming’ session, poetry recitals and rap contests among schools.
During the carnival competition, Jabs School came first; Oriens Complex School came second, and Mercy Academy placed third.
In addition, there was a drama competition with participants from the Upper East, Upper West, Brong Ahafo, Eastern, Ashanti, Central and Northern regions.
The Platinum Montessori came first and while the Ascension School placed second in the Drama Category.
Again, there was a Battle of the Brass Parade Competition, which The Father's Legacy School from Iron City, near Kasoa won. The Oriens Complex School came second, while Mountain Camel School placed third.
