Charlie at his studio in Sweden Charlie Qwashie Tamakloe is a Swedish citizen born in Ghana from the well-known Tamakloe family. At age 14 his father moved the family from the shores of Ghana to the finest in Scandinavia.
The Country with the midnight sun, Sweden. His interest in music began when he was a student in Sweden marked as the boy with the Walkman. He moved on to take courses in production and music engineering. He became club DJ in 1990 and is now well known for his productions with artist such as Excel (Timbuktu), Spotrunnaz, Prominent, Chana and Lucie all well known in Sweden and Britain.
All these years of busy schedules with top stars in Europe he still sits back in his studio to listen to music from Ghana. His interest to do something for Ghanian music got him to record with good old Ben Brako and new and sensational Prof. D.
His good works proved fertile when Universal Music got to sign a record deal for his group Chana. Studying well how fast Ghanaian music is growing he is poised to move two of his studios to Ghana come January 2005. He has his own recognized record company known as Coldeye Records who is well associated with Sony Music.
