My AFRIMMA nomination means a lot to me – Efya

Efya Efya

“My nomination for this year’s African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) for the Best Female West Africa category means a lot to me because AFRIMMA is a prestigious award.”

Singer and song writer Efya said this in an interview with livefmghana.com

According to the singer, she is excited about her nomination and hope to win. As that is a sign that her works are being recognized and appreciated.

“I am definitely happy about my nomination, the feeling is great even though this is not the first time; I have been nominated outside Ghana. This only goes on to show that my contribution to the Ghana music industry and Africa as a whole is being recognized.

“And it is always a great feeling to know that, that is the case. It is also an indication that, I need to work harder. I should not go to sleep because of this,” she said.

Whether she will win as she is contending with other female artistes both from Ghana and West Africa, she said; “I believe I have a great chance at it. All the other nominees deserve to be there as well so let’s see how it goes.”
