Newest high-life sensational musician Joseph Nkrumah Buabeng, popularly known as Nero x with the hit song "Nyame Ye De" has indicated that he got his inspiration to do music through his church and his family.
Nero X who further explained that he adopted the name Nero X from an Italian word "Nero" which means black, was talking to Dj Murphy Lee of Sunyani-based Metro FM
"I'm a highlife musician, high-life is a rhythm. You can sing gospel and other love songs with high-life . High-life is our mother rhythm, the Ghanaian cultured rhythm.
Am a versatile artiste who does different genres just that I choose my lyrical content very carefully...but you can also say I'm a gospel musician " Nero x told Murphy.
"My church, Revival Church of Christ in Takoradi inspired me. I was singing in the chapel. At the age of 11 and 12, I was part of the church choir so I got the inspiration there. I can also say music is my talent because I believe God gave everyone talent. My parents and siblings also sing so they were teaching me", he revealed.
Nero X is a fante, born and breaded in Takoradi but from Mankesim in the central region and he is a last born.
