Afro pop singer, Noella Wiyaala, has said that the production of her first album,Wiyaala, cost her GH¢600.

“I used 600 cedis for my first album when I started music. This is because; I was doing everything on my own. I had to fund everything on that album,” she said in an interview with Anita Erskine on the One Show on Viasat 1.

She added “I was not ready to compromise my music career so I told myself, whether or not I get a helping hand from elsewhere, I just wanted to do it. I believe that if I should start then people can see how serious I am and then they can be compelled to help me.”

Signed to Djimba World Records, Wiyaala is flying the Ghanaian flag all over the world. She was featured on “African Voices” a documentary run by BBC.

Noella Wiyaala is also referred to as the Lioness of Africa because of her energetic performance with her stage craft.
