Gospel musician Esther Smith has revealed the ghostwriter behind her hit song, "Adze Ko."

According to her, her mother, who is also blessed with singing prowess, composed the song, which became one of her hit songs.

“My mother wrote 'Adze Ko.' She is also a singer, just like myself. My mother lived with Fantes and was a member of the Methodist Choir. She realized I had the gift, so she provided me with the needed support.

What happened was that I had my songs already written, but when I wanted to come out, she told me to take that song and try it. When I came out with it, it worked perfectly too,” she said.

“My other hit song, 'Nipa,' was also written by my mother’s mother. She is currently not alive,” she added.

Esther Smith is in Ghana for a twin concert in Kumasi and Accra.
