My son’s songs are unquestionable – Akwaboah’s dad

Veteran highlife musician, Kwadwo Akwaboah has said his son Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., music prowess is as a result of scrutiny by him.

He said he thoroughly edits and arrange the content of the song before Akwaboah finally releases it.

Speaking on ‘Di Wu Lane Mu’ show with Kwame Bee on Kasapa 102.5Fm, he said once a musician compromise on doing quality songs it makes his or her brand fleeting and as a result cannot compete with other musicians.

He thus advised promising artists to be patience when writing good contents for their songs.

“To compose a song isn’t easy. You have to use situations around to compose and sometimes think very deep and be more creative to bring out the best. Anyone who wants to be a musician should take his time to learn it very well or give his lyrics to a music legend to go through it for them,” Kwadwo Akwaboah said on Kasapa FM.
Commenting on how he gets his inspiration to write such good songs, he said all his love songs were written from the book of songs of Solomon.

Kwadwo Akwaboah had six albums to his credit and presently out with another new single titled ‘last stop’.

Speaking on issues he is confronted with, Akwaboah’s father said he is in dire need of a producer to manage his new songs.

Kwadwo Akwaboah worked with Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Highlife musician Ampadu and many others.

Kwadwo Akwaboah, a talented pianist and singer belongs to a family of great talents. His father, Kwabena Akwaboah was a revered highlife musician, teacher and mentor to many of Ghana’s great musicians.

His son, Kwabena Akwaboah Junior is also a prolific songwriter and performer with an upcoming album under his belt.
