My song is not to mock KKD - Pope Skinny

Hiplife artiste and presenter of Kasahari Level on Adom 106.3fm, Pope Skinny, who had a good year in 2014 so far as his music career is concerned with the release of hit tracks such as 'Hot Cake' and 'Wa Shatta me' has reacted to comments making rounds to the effect that he has released a new single titled 'KKD' to mock Kwesi Kyei Darkwah a.k.a K.K.D with respect to the rape allegations leveled against him.

On 22nd January 2015, which happens to be his birthday, Pope Skinny released a single titled ''KKD'' and based on the rape case KKD is involved in, many people are of the opinion that the song may have been directed at KKD.

Speaking to Flex Newspaper in an exclusive interview, Pope Skinny confirmed that he indeed released his first single for the year 2015 on 22nd January, which happens to be his birthday and it's titled ''KKD'' but noted that he has no intention of mocking Kwesi Kyei Darkwah a.k.a KKD with the song as it been alleged.

When asked why he titled the song ''KKD'', Pope Skinny revealed that as an artiste he is a creative person but noted that in this instance, KKD stands for Kwame Kwapong Darko which is his name but not Kwesi Kyei Darkwah adding that ''KKD'' is just a funny party song and not what people think it is.

I have listened to ''KKD'' very carefully and other music lovers should also listen to the song and conclude if the song is meant to mock Kwesi Kyei Darkwah a.k.a KKD or its just a party song as Pope Skinny has indicated.
