Ghanaian actress Bibi Bright has accused the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) of buying votes with cubes of maggi and half piece of cloth in the Upper West Region.

The actress who is currently in Upper West Region as part of her Compassion for Change campaign to win votes for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2016 polls in an interview with Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Twi News said it is understatement to say the John Dramani Mahama-led NDC government is incompetent.

According to the mother of one, the life of some people living at Lambussie in the Upper West Region is nothing to write home about.

She alleged that "they give them maggi worth GHC2 or GHC5 for them to vote for NDC and this doesn’t even make them know the value of their vote.”

“We are at Hamle now and they have deceived them with half piece of cloth in order to win their votes” she told Zionfelix Tuesday afternoon.

Talking about her Compassion for Change campaign which kicked off at Shai Hills in the Greater Accra Region, Bibi Bright explained that “it is a health screening which gives support to those who are financially weak to visit the hospital because national health insurance has collapsed so that they can be fit and vote for Nana Akufo Addo on December 7.”

“We attended to about 200 people when we started at Shai Hills and even when we were leaving, the people did not want us to go but we had to because lights were off.”

Bibi Bright concluded that she will return to Accra on Friday and continue her Compassion for Change campaign in other parts of the country to help save lives.
