Popular Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has stated that he is considering an offer from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to perform at one of their campaign rallies ahead of the upcoming general elections.
In an interview on Hitz FM on November 28, 2024, Stonebwoy was asked if any political party had approached him for work in the run-up to the December 7 elections.
The “Therapy” hitmaker confirmed that he had received several offers, including one from the NDC.
He clarified that while he hasn't had direct talks with anyone from the NDC yet, there has been communication from the party.
Stonebwoy explained that his decision would depend on reaching an agreeable financial arrangement.
"There are a few offers I'm considering. I believe there's one from the NDC. To clarify, I haven't spoken directly to anyone from the NDC, but there has been a call from them. We're negotiating the financial terms, and if they are favourable, I'll perform for my fans and use some of the money for the BHIM Festival," he added.
He also emphasised the importance of peace during the election period, stating, "December is coming, so peaceful elections are all we seek. Whenever you see me on any platform, I'm performing for peace, whether it's for NPP, NDC, or CPP. It's all for peace because we are all one Ghana. Ghana first, Ghana must win in the end," he concluded.
